[MIXTAPE] DIRTY HOUSE MIXTAPE 6
Vato Gonzalez launches sixth edition of mixtape series and celebrates five-year anniversary
AMSTERDAM (September 14, 2012) – In 2007, Vato Gonzalez gets his first big break, when he decides to unleash the first DIRTY HOUSE mixtape to the public. The fast-paced mixed first mixtape proves to be an instant hit with the crowd and spreads like wildfire all over the internet. As his DIRTY HOUSE movement continues to grow, he starts hosting DIRTY HOUSE events all over Europe and sets up his own DIRTY HOUSE record label and publishing arm. Now, 5 years later, he launches the sixth edition of the DIRTY HOUSE mixtape series. The highly anticipated new mixtape was launched during a live broadcast on FunX Radio. DIRTY HOUSE MIXTAPE 6 instantly became the number 1 trending topic on Twitter in the Netherlands during this broadcast. The mixtape can be downloaded at DirtyHouse.nl.
Vato Gonzalez about DIRTY HOUSE MIXTAPE 6: “These past two years, I’ve mostly been working on my own productions, fine-tuning my own sound and doing remixes for other acts, such as Taio Cruz, Rizzle Kicks andThe 2 Bears. I definitely wanted to launch the mixtape earlier, but the success of ‘Badman Riddim’ – which was a Top 10 hit in the UK – and the subsequent demand for a follow-up single, kind of pushed the whole mixtape back a bit. With that said, I’ve now included a large chunk of my own new productions in this mixtape. There are at least 20 new songs in there of which some have not even been scheduled for release yet; a nice little sneak-peak of what is set to come.”
Besides a great number of Vato Gonzalez productions, remixes and bootlegs, the mixtape also features a few so-called ‘drops’ by some of his friends / colleagues, such as Diplo, DJ Fresh, Nicky Romero, Jaguar Skills,Donae’o, and Lethal Bizzle. Vato Gonzalez: “I’m currently working together with a lot of international acts and it’s always great fun to meet each other on tour.”
To support the launch of the new mixtape and at the same time celebrate DIRTY HOUSE’s five year anniversary, Vato Gonzalez will host a few exclusive DIRTY HOUSE events these next few months. On Friday October 12, DIRTY HOUSE touches down at Festyland Festival, where it will host its own arena. On Saturday November 10, DIRTY HOUSE will take over The Matrixx in Nijmegen – one of the Top 100 clubs in the World, according to DJMag – and there’s also a DIRTY HOUSE event scheduled for December, for which details will be announced at a later point in time.
